Help, cannot open Raw file CR2

hi All,

I just found that i cannot open the raw files shot by my canon 40D . think the file is in CR2 format. Tried using CS 2 but cannot open . appreciate your kind help. Thks

hi

I know that only cs4 and above allows u to open raw files directly. u could use third party converters like the adobe dng converter. an alternative would be to use the canon software
I believe.

There is a section called Digital Darkroom, such questions are discussed there frequently.
1) Use Canon DPP (install from CD, then update via Internet)
2) Use Adobe Converter and work with DNG format
DNG is basically RAW (=CR2) but without any manufacturer-specific features.
