HELP:can all lense fit all body?

All EF and EF-S mounts can fit the 450D. It cannot take other mounts with out adapters.

To the best of my knowledge, the 40D accepts EF and EF-S mount lenses.
This includes Tilt-Shift lenses and MP-E 65, though only manual focus is possible with these lenses.
