im a newbie to clubsnap and to photography
juz a few questions
i'll be going to swiss and paris in feb with my D90 18-105.
is 18-105 alone sufficient ?
do i need a wide angle lens and a lens for night shoot?
will the cold weather damage my camera?

please enlighten. Thanks in advance.

1. Why would it not be sufficient?
2. 18mm is a wide angle lens already. Up to you if you want to bring ultra wide angle; we're not you, and we don't know your photography style or preferences. What sort of night shoot are you talking about? I think a tripod would come in more handy.
3. Please see the 1,000 other "cold weather" threads here. And think about this: DSLR cameras are designed in Japan. Japan is a cold country. Therefore...

18mm is plenty wide.

No worries. Just shoot more :)

Hi,

Welcome to CS~ Ur kit lens is wide enough, u can complement another prime for low light if you want. Unless u wan to go ultra wide, then u shd start looking at wide angles (i.e. 10-20,12-24,10-24,11-16)

For nigth shots, a tripod is essential alongside a remote/cable release.

And cold weather will not damage ur cam my dear, or else how will our counterparts in cold nations go into photography. Its built to substain extreme cold weather conditions. :)

thanks for all the enlightenment.

will report back with more questions

and of cuz the photographs

Nothing NEEDS to be bought. But most people would recommend a spare battery and a dry cabinet.
