I'm new to photography, pleased to learn a lot from this club.
As a start, intend to buy a dslr, am waiting for the new lauch for Nikon or Canon entry level dslr.

Nikon: D60, D90, D5000*
Canon: 1000D, 450D, 500D*
Olympus: E-420, E-520, E-620, E-450*

2nd-hand (Older) options:

Nikon: D40, D40x, D70, D80
Canon: 350D
Olympus: E-410, E-510

note* upcoming or latest models.

Head down to one of the camera shops to catch out the cams. Compare the prices and have a good feel of the different cams. Funan will be a good place, namely Alan Photo(AP), John 3:16 and Cathay Photo(CP) at peninsular.
