Hi everyone, i'm still new on DSLR camera. right now holds a Nikon D5000.

Can someone pls guide me which speedlight flash is suitable for my current camera.

Thanks for your time.....:)

An SB-800 or 900 will take care of almost everything... except your budget constraints :) So unless you're gonna take the D'5k to cover heavy-duty events or modelling shoots perhaps an SB-400 might suffice for the average party pic? Also consider the vastly cheaper 3rd-party flashguns which boast the same size and strength as the 800/900. But I must say I'm unfamiliar with their performance as I'm using a 900.

HI. welcome to the club ...
Just grab a decent SB600 if you budget constrain... Will do almost all the job well enough.

I'm using it mostly on night shoots....portraits and landscapes...etc.. so, you think the SB-400 might be enough..?

hmmm....so is likely a SB-400 or SB-600..

Thanks everyone here for the inputs...:D

Welcome to CS !

Just buy the SB900 once & for all if budget allows..
No need to upgrade for a while & plus the extra flash reach, commander mode in CLS & many more..
