Hi, I just registered here!

I like photography of buildings, streetscapes, cityscapes, nature and pretty much everyting and anything!

I have a KM Dimage Xg. It's slim so I can put into my pocket while walking and shooting. Some people don't like their property to be photographed.

I want to get a new camera, but not sure which one to buy, hopefully below $800.
Cheers, everyone!

I know someone here, but not sure of her nick here.... hehe....

I like to go places in Singapore to shoot. My hobby had taken me to many places like Pulau Ubin and even sneaked some shots from the inside of Supreme Court and City Hall.

I love those heritage areas. And places that are going soon, like kampongs or soon to be demolished buildings area also my fav subjects.

I recommend Canon S2 IS. just a shade above $800.

Looking for camera..... Best below $800.
Image stabllizer preferred
Min 3x optical zoom, best 12x total (digital + optical) zoom and above
Smaller the better
I want my shots to look natural.
Macro mode preferred
Long exposure for night shots

Er... that's all

Oh, more of myself.

I'm now, going 18...

I like walking about taking pics. Cute stuff, unique, funny, odd... Street scenes and cityscapes is a 'must' for me when I go to an area!

In a nutshell, I like to shoot anything and everything around me. Well, except people that is! ;p

'Cityscape' meaning going up high places to take photos of the surroundings.
This is my most dramatic pic, from the top floor of the 40 storey HDB flats in Toa Payoh.
Asked the owner if she could let me in, and she did! :D

Hi redstone ...

Looks like the Canon S2 is one of a few you shd consider. Others I have considered as well with the specs above includes the Panasonic FZ5, FZ20, the KonicaMinolta Z5, Sony H1.

Since these are all prosumer cameras, you should also consider if you need good video capabilities, etc. The Canon S2 for example, allows zooming and still photo taking when in Video shooting mode.

Cheers!

Marine Parade's flats are a good place to go, since Katong is flat (all lowrise buildings). ;)
No la, I live Ang Mo Kio. ;)

The 40 storey flats in Toa Payoh are excellent vantage points, but you can't see the west.
