anyone knows how to make a good HDR file? most of the HDRs came out looking dull. adding S curve to the finalised file didnt help and details are lost. any help from experts on this subject?

theres a function in photoshop cs2 where u can add a few files and merge them to hdr. under file > automate[i think] > merge hdr

you have to change the colour depth if you want to save the file to jpeg though, the output file is quite big.

AutoPano Pro 1.1 can also act as HDR merger (instead of a Panorama creator).

Just have your photos run through AutoPano.. and wahlah, auto merged for you

interesting software. too bad it is not a freeware and make vigneting type of distortion in the final pic + the pano logo stamp in the middle!
