HDB HEartland pics ?

Has anyone taken street shots at a "typical" HDB ? I've been shooting in Beijing and am coming back to Singapore (at long last !!!!) full time. I recently bought an M8 and have been doing a fair bit of street photography. Does anyone have any tips or places I could try doing HDB street type shots ?

The older estates are better. There'll be old people sitting around, drinking coffee, watching birds sing, reading papers, etc. Tiong Bahru is one. Chinatown (near Cantonment) another.
