The recent PSI hitting more than 300 give rise to some very real problems and they are:

1. Who look after my children?
2. My aged parents
3. My job!

Any input?

We all must work together. As consumers, if we don't buy their products, there is no need for them to plant. Name and shame those that support them. Let the world know how these people make their money killing others.

There so many companies making money while killing others. Too many already. Can't say to stop their products though it's an ideal strategy.

We can stop printing photographs and paper for a start. But can all photographers do that?

Every stupid IT show, I keep reading about people feeling so proud buying latest printers blah blah blah.

How to stop using paper?

U know, when PC and internet first came into the commercial market many moons ago, alot of promises were made, in order to convince the world that this is the way to go forward. One of them was we can go paperless and stop killing trees.

That's the irony part. So many moons have passed until today, mankind has used even more paper than before, all due to PC and internet. Why? Because it makes it so convenient for people to print, and most of the time are useless printouts.

This is how Indons flex their muscles as a strong and big nation.

It's all about the power of geopolitics.

They'll remind us once a year by sending smokes up in the air.

We don't like it. And we can't do anything about it.

isn't it a coincidence that they are talking abt taking bk the airspace while the haze is around?

Is it a blackmail?

Championing environmental matters are great but what matter most to us now and immediate is haze. What is the point of not eating shark fins if we can't live to see tomorrow?

Take small but important steps my friend. If we are not helping ourselves, nobody care. Let organisations distance themselves by declaring they are not buying from that source. Those that didn't declare mean they are supporting. So don't talk about bullshit that they care anymore.

In my opinion, our minister keeps asking Indonesian government to put in writing is afraid they will twist and turn about verbally naming some companies. To me, there is no need for written confirmation. It is the duty of those named to declare they are not and if proven to be the culprit, they deserve 10 times the fine and be kicked out permanently. Whoever deal with them, we should name them too.

No need so troublesome lah ......just ask those who are suspected of causing the haze to take lie-detector test ......if convicted set their backsides on fire ........... :bsmilie:

The answer are :
1. send your child to school or child care.
2. send parents to the various CC with some opening 24-hr.
3. go to work as the community is looking after your love ones.
It has to be a National effort . Every mother child must do their part.
i think schools will open and teachers will have to report for in time of crisis.

agree ?

Agree. The truth is that while we can continue to KPKB about Indonesia, we have very little leverage. So what we (government and people) can do is to work out the necessary "defensive" measures for us to cope.

As reported in the Straits Times, Vice President Indonesia was quoted to have said '"For 11 months, they enjoyed nice air from Indonesia and they never thanked us." Perhaps the Indonesian meteorology should have educated him that from Nov/Dec to Apr/May is the North East monsoon and all the "nice air from Indonesia" get blown into the Indian Ocean and not north toward us!!

I suspect that all the hot air from VP Kalla is the real cause of most of the fires!

Yes, especially if hot air comes out from the other end. Understand flatulence comprises of gases mentioned below, 2 of which are flammables!.;)

Nitrogen: 20-90%
Hydrogen: 0-50% (flammable)
Carbon dioxide: 10-30%
Oxygen: 0-10%
Methane: 0-10% (flammable)

It is a ASEAN problem. It has to be resolved with all efforts. The immediate effort must stop the haze. The other is to prevent repeat.
