1. in what area is critique to be sought?
Composition

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
To gather feedback from fellow members
This subforum getting quite quiet, hope to stimulate more discussion here :)

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
The was taken during Singapore Color Run '14, at the Race Village near the stage area. Was using manual exposure, however a spotlight shone over and caused the overexposure.

Settings: 1/125s, f4.0, ISO6400

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
Though there was quite a bit of overexposure and loss of details in the overexposed areas, the effect looks quite interesting so I did not delete this image. So would like anyone to comment, was it a good mistake, or simply a mistake? Hehe... Any other comments regarding the image?

Thanks for viewing :)

1. can't tell whether it's from Color Run due to the weird colors
2. this is probably not your best shot.
3. i can't tell if they're having fun because all i see are people raising hands and one girl (the most obvious one) is closing her eyes. for all we know, this could be a protest rally where tensions are hyped up

i'm not sure the overexposure works here. a bit more contrast and tones and this might also work in B&W, especially for the interesting light.

Thanks mod Zaren for dropping by and giving your take! Should have thought of B&W conversion with all the pink powder flying around making the colour image quite 'monochromatic' anyway :)
