Don't mind me saying but the photo is a little unexciting, possibly because it is slightly underexposed.
Even so, it does bring across the message that your thread title states. The juxtaposition of a real bicycle basket in the background, compared to the "DIY-ed" one in the foreground is a good one, and the yellow of the DIY basket stands out particularly well, against a dull and bluish (white balance? intentional?) surrounding.
On the whole, I like it.

thanks. yes, the off white and under-expose is done on purpose. i like the way the yellow box stands out against the background.
