Kindly give me your critique for this picture.

I used Sony Alpha 390, took this picture around 2pm on the street. I just did a light retouch on this picture. I made it look lighter.

Composition : did I make it to bring the attention to the girl ?
Colors : is it ok with this color ?

The people standing behind the young lady stole the attention from her, in another is distracting.
Think you have overdone and background appears overexposed and messy to me.
