In today's Sunday Times, read this article about happiness. Seems that we here in SG scores pretty well.

To me, happiness is to have more time to shoot. Not more gear. I have too much gear that I believe I sort of underuse them.

happiness is having good time with frz or family. Just plain drinking kopi and talking anything from the skies to the seas can be happy times ...

Net happiness..... hmmm... there is some logic in it.... Look at all the interNET happiness we can find around... Being able to TCSS on CS, play Facebook games, kill Protoss/Teran/Zerg scum-of-the-earth, surf...urm...those nice sites... Yes, there is NET happiness - I fully agree... :D

Happiness is when you shoot a XMM, there are 6 more quequeing and waiting for you to shoot. :)
I think your happiness is triple-fold when you have the mid-drift of a certain actress in your sight... :bsmilie:

it seems the answer here is happiness more like the rapture one derived from doing or having something. It should go way beyond just that.

Are you telling me if a certain Siggie 100-300 lands in your hands right now (all paid for) you won't feel a pinch of happiness??? Please stop preaching the higher good when we're all guilty of indulging in the current classification of happiness... :bsmilie:

Happiness is spending time with my extended family.... for makan, holiday and just being together. ;)

One or two more dive trip won't hurt also...

Happiness is contentment, happiness is peace at heart, mind and soul.

You can be poor, but surrounded by a close family, living a simple life and happy.

You can be a millionaire, but wanting this and that, bigger house, bigger car, working non stop, missing out on the simple pleasures in life.

Happiness is to be satisfy with the image quality of your camera and stop burning a big hole in your wallet buying gears you don't use :)

Sometimes I also feel the same way when I want to take a picture of happy people but nobody is smiling :bsmilie:

Oh... you do find people who are smiling on the streets of Singapore... but then... I'd be very wary those...
:bsmilie: Either that, they must be having their headphones on...

Brings back the old cliche... "When in Rome, do what Romans do." "When in Singapore, do what Singaporeans don't do...(and that is to smile)"

Speaking of that, reminded me of a rude culture shock when I returned to Singapore after being 4 years away... First thing that came to my mind was..."wah....peeps here are pretty uptight huh?"....

"life is never as sweet without the sour"

yes, i wish i have more time to shoot, in fact, i wish i could shoot all day long.

but when i think back on the days when i shot all day long, it became a wee bit dull after a while. not that i ever tired of it, but that glow, that racing heart, it was dulled somewhat. nowadays, i cherish every moment i have to shoot even more.

today, i got to shoot from 730 to nearly 1530 hrs, with great company. it was a tedious affair, but i had loads of fun, and i'm glad i still have time for things like that.
