Anyone ? Please post here or pm me ,thanks :)

I think there are quite a few tailors in Chinatown.

Peninsula Shopping Ctr basement got a lot. Most of them are very experienced. Just shop around and ask for quotes. ;)

Thanks Dreammerchant
Any good shop you reccommend ?

Hi TS,

(Not trying to put Dream Merchant down) but head up to level 3 of Peninsula for a wider selection of tailors. If i'm not mistaken, there's only 2 or 3 tailors located at the basement.York tailor is one of them and they are ok. IMHO, Peninsula has some not bad tailors but they don't specialise in alterations. For just sleeves and pants shortening, any seamstress will do but if you are looking to alter the shoulders, chest area, more complicated stuff, i suggest that you find an experienced seamstress. Try Clancy boutique at Far East Plaza, level 4 for good alteration but be prepared to pay quite a bit for her service. As a guideline for you,i paid $30 to alter the length of my jeans. :(

If you decided to tailor a suit instead of altering, the cheapest alternative is Bangkok. A good suit tailored in BKK cost a minimum of $200+. In Peninsula, you can try Personality Menshop, Mens Tradition,Tessuti, Dezenno Umno. Their suits starts from about $500. If you want higher end suits,(minimum $800 a suit) go to Kingsmen,Justmen, CYC. The best suit would be a bespoke suit that will cost 4-5 digits. Hope my sharing helps. :)

Ya, level 3 is the place where u can find the tailors and most of them have been there for decades. Used to patron there during the younger days (Teens) The ranges were like 40-60 for a shirt, around 80 for a pants. Not sure for now liao but those shop sure still there.

I forgot what the shop name but the guy i know is still working there, his name is Dave.

Just go there have a good look and there are plenty for you to choose. As for basement will be more music stuff these days but u can pop by if u are free.

There's also a lot of tailors in Shaw Plaza. Suits there start from about 200-250 depending on the cloth you choose.

I don't know alot actually. I tailor all my working clothes mah so i like to look around for good quality, well tailored clothes to wear when i'm slim and cheaper range to wear when i'm fat.

I refused to read up on bread! :sticktong If you want bread, go toa payoh bakery lah! :bsmilie:
