GriGri the newbie is back! with some moon shots~~~

taken with my newly bought 2nd hand Sigma Super II, please give suggestions on postprocessing, as i got no experience on editing moons~~~

both are hand-carry shots, slightly PSed, as i got no $$ for tripod yet.

i'm not that good at ps-ing either though,
but bewteen e two, i prefer ur 1st pic.

a small suggestion though, maybe try cropping the pic so that ur moon fills the entire frame... a bit too much empty sky imho...

it's already after cropping.. heh. more cropping will result in blur image, coz i never use tripod and it's only a 300mm f5.6 lens.

i see... hehe, cos tot it might look better with lesser...
maybe u can try some fun with it, get some nice night cloud scenes, and ps ur moon onto it and make it a new pic... hehe

since e moon is relatively round, should be quite easy to cut it out... :devil:

i prefer the first one too! maybe just less black background would look a little bit nicer!

good job (i also have yet to photograph the moon, but i only have a 150mm lens...range not good enough )

haha, get a Sigma Super II, although focus is a bit slow, or rather slow.. but it's value for money. might be getting a gitzo 1126 tripod if necessary...
