I noticed a grey spot, appears regularly on my images when I shoot a pic with light grey background. Can anyone venture to advice me if this is caused by dust or the CCD? It appears to make its appearances even when I switch lenses, so probably not due to dust on the lens.
Thanks

BTW I am using a D70 and Nikon 80-200 F2.8 and Tokina ATX Pro 20-70 F2.8, and a Nikon Kit lens 18-70, periodically all these captured the grey spot now and then.

it could be a speck of dust on your sensor.

i had a small speck on mine too, only showed up when i used a large apperture number and shot with flash against a dark surface.

try using a blower on the sensor. it worked for me.

be careful not to touch the ccd so you don't risk scratching it (obviously)

and do a quick one or u may end up exposing it to more dust. :)
