Do cathay sell grey cards? i wonder if a grey color cardboard bought from popular would be a better idea (but are they true 18% grey?)
even better should i juz ditch the grey cards and meter off my palm like what some pple do?

btw for spot metering rite.. the colors to avoid are black, white,
blue, dark green....any others that i missed out?

Yes, Cathay does sell grey cards - I believe the price is around $25 for 2 x A4 size and 1 x 4R size. One side is 18% grey, the other is pure white.

No, grey color cardboard from Popular does not work (been there tried that ;p ) - the grey is not true grey, has color cast and also not 18%. Also tried printing my own, worse.....

Actually, I use the grey card for more than just exposure - very good for creating custom white balance for digicams. Much better than using a white surface.

wah 25 bucks ah....can i juz buy the 1x 4R size one? i dun need
A4 sizes.

Unfortunately, its a pack - the grey cards are by Kodak. Maybe you can share and between a few ppl, can cut the 2 x A4 into smaller pcs. :dunno:
