Yet another visit to the Greek Islands. This one is alot closer to the main town of Athens and just as beautiful.

Its about 2 hours from the port of Athens. Island is named Hydra.

Interestingly enough, while exploring the island we met a bunch of seamen who were lazing in the afternoon having Ouzo (local version of vodka) and singing songs. One of them could speak english and invited us to join them.

And we met some of the local furry fluffs too.

Actually we met alot of the furry creatures. Cats are pretty well received around here.

We had lunch at a local cafe and the greek salad needless to say is authentic and superb. Really love the cheese. Another delicary is fried squid much akin to calamari except the squid is served whole - not in rings.

Continued exploring the island and took a shot of the villa rooms available for tourists to stay..

In rained quite abit in the afternoon. Wet streets.

Lastly stopped by at the local souvenir shop although i didnt buy anything.

Yet again similar to all greek islands, donkeys are a common sight here as used for transportation of man and goods.

Hi , Can you kindly advise lens you brought along to take the pctures. Also is it adviseable to just wear slippers there during the walkabout ? thanks in advance.
