Would prefer the lighting to fall on her face for first photo at least partially to retain the sense of suspense and mystery.

nice work overall, just some suggestions if what I would have done.
for the first photo: I would actually rather not have the reflector as some suggested, but got for a more diffused/softer lighting than what you have there. Allow her arm to do the reflector's job onto her face.
photo no. two: almost faultless, but you need to crop it tighter, i.e. get rid of the table edge.
