got recommendations on websites?

Hi all i'm new to photography and not yet started on digi photography......want to ask the lao jio out theres.....got any good websites to recomend where i can pick up a skill on photography.......best is very simple and easy to understand for newbie.........and
its the same old question.......i'm thinking of getting s30/s40......which is a better choice if the largest i will print will be A4. portability is imp for me (so that i can bring it along everywhere i go and start shooting).......so.....can help a helpless guy like me?

ps.....i came from HWZ too......but i'm always reading only.....

Both S30/S40 can print A4 size without problem. Since you are paying $1000 for S30 might as well fork out another $100 to get S40. Both same size. The only major diff is the Pixel size. Get S40 lah.

well.....i agree for the $100 plus can get a 4MP looks like a good deal....but i read alot of pple in some forums that the s40 does not perform as well as the s30 leh......esp in the dpreview forums.......so thats why i can decide b/t the two leh.......
