Is there any AA batteries testers? Care to recommend? Price/location of the product?
Thanks.

plenty of good and cheap multimeters in Sim Lim Tower. Even got those with 0.01 volt accuracy. Great for testing batteries and deciding which to discard.

but multimeters don't really tell much about remaining battery life right? they just tell the voltage and current the battery can still provide.

NiMH, lithium-ion, NiCd and lithium batteries are good at holding up their voltage until the last bit of juice...

only carbon zinc and alkaline batteries show voltage drops in its service life... i think

NiMH and NiCd hold their voltage fairly constant at 1.2v until they're almost fully discharge where the voltage drops suddenly. A freshly charged cell will measure 1.4v for a while.

Lithium cells actually gain voltage as they discharge.

Your typical battery checker actually checks voltage or current. You'll probably need a more complex circuit (more exp.) to do a true check.
