Few people remail me about the what the speaker going to speak on. Here is it :gbounce:

"Digital Imaging Specialist and author Vincent Bockaert will cover the Digital Photography Workshop following the three steps of his upcoming book "The 123 of Digital Imaging". In the First Step (creating Input) Vincent will explain the advantages of digital over conventional photography. He will also point out the differences between conventional and digital cameras, between digital Compacts and digital SLR's, and between current and upcoming image sensors, including the new Foveon sensor. Finally, he will provide guidance as to how you should decide which digital camera is best for your individual needs.

During the Second Step manipulating your images) he will enlighten you on the amazing possibilities of the "digital darkroom". After explaining how to evaluate images based on their histogram, he will demonstrate several exciting techniques such as the removal of tourists from pictures, increasing the dynamic range, creating panoramas, color enhancements, etc using Adobe Photoshop 7.

In the Third Step (output), he will explain how to view, share, and print your images and how to optimize them for various purposes (web, monitor, print, etc)using different image formats and hardware. Finally, he will comment on images from the audience and demonstrate live how to improve them."

The winning entries for this competition is now displaying at the ground floor in Eastpoint Mall, next to the Simei MRT. The dates are from 17 ~ 23 June 2002. All entries are printed on A3 size using Canon S9000.

The photos are excellent, especially the 1st prize in the conventional category.

If you have the time, just drop by.

Just wondering, anyone here won the prize?? Hmm....
