Good places to shoot pano photos?

#1
Just wondering if there are any good places to capture panorama photos in singapore...other than marina bay.

I considered the botanic gardens, at the wide open space where the concert stage is. Would look beautiful on a sunday with all the families enjoying the weekend with their children.
Can't think of any more spots, but then again...I'm not local so I barely know a few places as it is.

Anyone have some spots in mind?

Any place with a wide expanse is good, etc Marina Barrage (kite flying), West Coast Park (on frisbee days or sunset), any random beach, Little Guilin (Bukit Gombah), Machrite Reservoir and one of the rare places is the greenway in the Istana.
The sky is the limited but you can seek help from dannyfox.
Don't mind if I put up an experimental picture of pano.

lovely capture,
How did you manage to have a seamless center? I tried similar shots, but it always looked like a spiral vortex thing happening in the center...

Found East Coast park to be a nice place too.

Harshal, the way to do it is to ensure your foreground is a uniform thing, i.e. sand, and doesn't involve lines.
I agree with edutilos, that is why I suggest a wide expanse.
But having lines as effects can be fun too as long as they are aligned evenly.
By the way, I can see that you are not rotating on the nodal point thus giving you uneven exposure or it could be from not using manual mode with locked focus.

Separating the lines evenly

When space is limited, it will turn into a maze-like look but take care to have at least a 2m distance to avoid drastic distortion.

New Bridge Centre (Chinatown).. Can do pano with part of the pic of CBD area..
Pinnacle @ Duxton..

;)
Pinnacle @ Duxton is a great place to shoot pano but not on a wet and cloudy season like now.
I agree that Chinatown is great now with all the decorations for CNY, tryout the 4th floor of Chinatown Complex for a 360° pano or the top floor for a 90° pano.

By the way hersheydesai, shooting pano on the Tiger Sky Tower is rather difficult as the tower is rotating while moving upwards.
Even if you use unlimited jpg burst mode you will not be able stich angled view unless your orientation is angled in the first place.

Try not to set up tripod in the Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom for too long as it is a U-shaped path (Entrance to exit).

NICE :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

The landscape in the CBD changed so much over the years that I am unable to recognise where you shot this. ;)
Don't tell me where, I will make a trip down to find out myself.
It's more fun to self discovery. :)

It's where the floating platform is.
The photo was reversed so my brain had some problem trying to relate to it. :D
