Simple one to start off with, Don't Cry by Guns and Roses. Another of my favourites is Love is on the Way, Saigon Kick.....

hehe...all the old school 90's era guitar solos, that's when I started playing...

You should check out Tommy Emmanuel.

High 5!

For good acoustic player, Emmanuel, Paco de Lucia,Django Reinhart. But from what I gather, you mean solos you can play on the acoustic right? November rain and don't cry is manageable. Alot of bluesy song can be played i.e layla, your body's a wonderland, crossroads, little wing.

LOL! crap, that's good...but i'm not so pro...just a n00b starting out! but thanks all the same guys! november rain can by played on acoustic..heard it before

Metallica's Nothing Else Matters and Extreme's More than Words. Then there is the classic Hotel California by Eagles.

The standard pieces would be the works of Sor, Bach (original lute works & transcriptions), Albeniz, Carcassi, Carulli, Coste, Tarrega, Giuliani, Newsiedler, etc. Here's an interesting source for downloadable guitar sheet music: http://eythorsson.com/music/
