Has anyone been there?
Any shooting advice?

Will be bringing my only 2 lenses with me: 50mm and kit lens. :embrass:
Will be visiting Death Valley and Red Rock Canyon as well.

Thanks! :)

Wide angle will be usefull both on the street and the sight seeing  Go to Grand Canyon abd Hoover dam if you have time :) And possible, stay around the strip and hop from 1 casino to another.......remember to collect their coin mug as sovenior :D I have about 8 from different operator :)

Other tips...
1. The tap water is undrinkable...so buy drinking water from pharmacy such as Wallgreen, it's in galon and inexpensive....

2. Eat Fatburger if you can find it http://www.fatburger.net/location.html

3. Eat the fish & chip in New York New York...it's in the ground floor

4. Eat the O'shea hotdog....it's huge and delicious...and it's $1 each (3 yrs ago)...it's next to Flamingo

Some good read up here..

6 days on the Strip and 2 days in Death Valley.
Only hitting the major hotels. :)

go to in and out .. http://www.in-n-out.com/

my advice is to stay one night at a grand hotel like the belagio/vanetian/mgm/wynn

i think it will be a nice experience.

bring a point and shoot to take video of the fountain at the belagio .. tripod if you can as well to take night shots..

go to in and out ..

try to take a day trip to grand canyon.. its beautiful .. much more than any hotel.. of course i realise that beauty if subjective, but it simply took my breath away when i went there.

what else... if you have to gamble... blackjack all the way ... read up on basic strategy.. you might even make some money ..

vegas buffet's are over-rated imo.. not that cheap anymore

I'll be staying at Aladdin at $79 per night.I would love to stay in those hotel u mentioned but they are way above my budget.Yes,I'll bring my Nikon digicam too,so I can take come video clips.

Planning on hitting the slots machines.
I've read on tripadvisor vegas forum that some buffets are quite good.
$12.99 buffet breakfast sound alright.I'll be trying a few when I'm there.

Aladin is good enough lor...and Belagio is just opposite :D I stayed in Bally's last time...super chep at $49 as it was not so long after 911....if you happen to hop in to Paris(just next door...impossible to miss)....try the deli next to the Casino.....it's very nice

U must see Grand Canyon.

If u dont have much time, u can take a air tour. Within 30 min u can reach GC and they fly round the place. Then can take aerial photog.

If u drive or take a coach, easily 6 hours drive.

welllllllllllllllllllll ... 12.99 for breakfast no matter how u see it is still expensive.. you can go to mcdonalds and be full for 5 bucks... i suppose try it once just to experience but it USED to be really cheap.. like 4-6 bucks for all-you-can-eat.. but its not that cheap anymore.

yea thats why i said stay in a nice hotel for 1 night ;)

DO NOT HIT THE SLOT MACHINES. as you WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY. just some friendly advice from someone who has a gambling addiction :bsmilie: ... but if you MUST .. i heard that machines nearer to the pay-out counters have better odds of winning.

Price for the air tour is pretty expensive.
If we have the time,we prefer to drive there.
Grand Canyon will have to wait till next time. :)
