When is the best time to visit HK for shopping, in terms of hotel and air ticket too?
Shopping will be around July to August when there are lots of offers due to the summer sale. Weather isn't so pleasant during that time though - unless you enjoy heat and sunshine! I would consider November to January the most enjoyable months to visit in terms of weather, and towards January to March they sometimes have end of winter sales too. Not sure about hotel and air ticket because I actually stay here so I haven't booked hotels in a long time.

Typhoons can actually occur any time from May to November, but HK is not often hit directly. July to September are the most likely months to get hit.

A lot of times the typhoon doesn't seem so bad, except for the wind and rain. Main danger, though, is from things being blown away and falling (like signboards, trees etc.)
