Read somewhere in the phys.org forum that there is now sufficient empirical data amounting to a statistically significant four sigma signal from both separate A Toroidal LHC Apparatus (ATLAS) experiment and Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), just short of the five sigma signal (0.000028% probability of it happening by chance) necessary to substantiate the existence of the Higgs boson particle!
We will just have to wait and see.
