Gloss vs matt prints

I've always wondered, are there any advantages one type has over the other?

to me, matt last longer. but glossy looks nicer.
glossy finger smudge. need to get those albums which dont stick.

Generally, I should think that matt is great for lanscapes and gloosy would be wonderful for portartures.. (right or not?)

My personal prefernce is matt though.

Glossy is more brilliant and able to show off the skin tones I think.

I think the colors for glossy prints look so much brighter than matt. But, I still print my photos in matt , only because glossy prints stick to the plastic sheets of photo albums.

btw, anyone knows photos albums that glossy prints wont stick to the plastic sheets? I used to buy those adhesive types, but they are slightly more expensive than the normal albums.

Are there albums where glossy prints won't stick? I think that's very rare...
