bad boy image is good for them.

aiya.. at most kena fined only.. if all the DJs were so rule following, then the radio in Sg would be so boring.. time to time must have some one flout the rules then fun ma.. :bsmilie:

Yeah.. they need to top the bra-removal contest earlier this year.. ;)

they will be ok. Becos they are star DJs in this nation.

i like their programs ... just that topics like sex and humor may not be suitable for some.

OK lar, I find nothing unusual also, nowadays competition heating up with so many morning 'Breakfast Shows' on radio, 91.3fm have, Gold 90fm have, Power 98, 98.7fm also have..so they gotta "up the ante" a little to keep ratings up. ;)

Chey, I thot what's the big deal... If they do get fined, i think it's making a mountain out of a molehill.

What's with singapore man... this cannot, that cannot...

Do u all think sometimes we sweep Reality under the carpet too much over here?

who knows, maybe if we rephrase it...

anybody use a muffler when doing things in a bedroom? :bsmilie:

i don't see anything wrong with asking listeners on their opinion. if they want to keep it private, then don't sms lah. but if they want to sms for the fun of it, don't sign off lah. just stay anonymous.

whatever it is, i still think The Morning Express show is da best :thumbsup:

to the fans of The Morning Express... what happened to Prof Aikiriyonoto-san??? went back to Japan??? :bsmilie:

and oh... sometimes, this Uncle James can be damn corny and funny. wonder if he's real...

I think the MDA is run by juveniles ....... little boys and girls, who have not been to the cyberspace yet ....:dunno:

Go and listen "Sex on Air" on Radio FM1003 this evening, 7.00pm. (every Friday)

DJ Lin Anna has been hosting the programme for years, talking about sex topics. Listeners also call in or sms to talk about their experience on the various issues.

Perhaps our Chinese channel is way ahead of their English counterpart. I would say some listeners who are not liberal enough to accept these topics would make a fuss out of it, thus drawing the attentions of the regulatory bodies.

Even the Chinese papers had a column written by an openly gay man for a long time..

Ha.. Even then, I think the MDA will say it's still too explicit. Cannot. Fine the radio station still. (So they can get $$$, u see)

I feel sometimes we have really dumb rules here. Everything becomes overly strict. It's not as if the radio presenters invited people to dance naked or have sex in the studio or whatever. Sex is part of life. Yes, it's private but there are reasonable limits.

The culture here has become so stifled that citizens are told to hush things up. "Otherwise I fine you, jail you." Please lor, you think even the kids so dumb these days? Based on interviews, sex is not seen as a big thing even in a top all girls school here.

Sometimes, I think the more you suppress the discussion of sex, the more people want to try it. Reverse psychology.

In spore, i tink only if there's $, then rules will be relaxed. If some tycoon says "I will donate $1 billion to Singapore if you can have a regular radio talk show that discusses sex, I'm sure the people's "beloved" government will wag their tongues and say yes somehow.

[Think about why the IR is being built despite initial protests (MONEY GENERATOR!), and how gays should become more acceptable to our society (TALENT=MONEY!) and you will get the picture.]

$ingapore.

Man think it's pretty mild compared to what US radio DJs talk about..

Interesting note about Adam Levine and Maria Sharapova. Frankly I don't blame him. Heck, after all that shrieking and screaming on-court, I'd expect similar theatrics in bed too! :bsmilie:
