I am using linux.... and also using gimp for DPP... And I find it quite useful..

So far, I used the "unsharp mask" and "batch processing" and the gimp does it easily without the PC hanging, even when operating on raw files..

Hope more gimp users contribute here on their own techniques and guides.

fyi, gimp is free and almost equivalent to photoshop [ thats what they say ]

Yeah, using Gimp also. You process the raw files in Gimp directly? I uses ufraw for processing raw, then use Gimp for final processing.

Do go Youtube and search for gimp, you can find some interesting tips on post-processing with it.

yea... ufraw plugin for gimp... hehehe...

do u use gimp-plugin-registry?

It includes the David's batch processor... I find it good to resize all the pics in batches to minimize its size so that it can be uploaded to online storage albums fast..

I love using it for Lomo effect.
