Getting our own domain

Does anyone know how can i go about getting my own domain? And thus host my own website without advertisment? How much is the cost like?

and host at www.poznet.com
S$55 per yr, (50MB, 1GB/m)

that's the cheapest I can find

mine 10USD i will have full ownership+rights. I think the price is dropping after Networksolutions lost it's monopoly.
