Where is a good shop to get slide/negative film?

Normal photo-processing shops I go to charge seems higher.

Negatives I use:
fuji xtra 800 - $8.50
xtra 400 - $5.50

Slides:
Kodak 100: $8.50

I have not try slides yet, so want to buy more to give it a try....

Wah!!!;(

But they close so early at 7. must plan time to go down and get it...

Yes er, I'm interested in getting film. Been hunting around for ISO 800 film. Can't find any in the neighborhood 1hr labs. Where do you all get them?

Oh yeah, before I forget. It is obvious that even P&S cameras benefit from better quality films. But are there better quality consumer films? As in films for the masses like the Kodak MAX series and the Konica Centura series. Or should we stay away from them.

XTRA 400 is $7 for 2 rolls at Cathay.
For slides, Fotoguide sells Provia 100F at $8.60 or so.

Me using P&S also (Mju II & RivaZoom 75w) usually with ISO 400 film...
Use kodak Max 400 usually until I tried Fuji xtra 800...(I got mine at Clementi MRT)

Man the colors really stands out compare to my kodak ones... ...
I develop a few 8R out of that roll.

can't wait to try xtra 400...

You should go down to an area that serves to the more advanced users to get such film eg Peninsular area. Never buy MAX 400, and stay away from Konica.

Right! No matter what, stay away from MAX 400. Even if someone gives it to you free (just give them to someone else :p ) The grain is horrible. Even Fuji Press 800 does not have that kind of grain.

Xtra 800 cost between $5.50 to $6.00 can be bought at fotoguide or cathay at penisular or marina sq.

Try John 3:16 for Fuji films. Their xtra 400 is $4 per roll. Cathay Photo oso sell quite cheaply.
