I beg to differ. Many digicams can do it, 1/750 should be sufficient.

Just have to do "predictive framing", and press the shutter slightly ahead of when you actually want the pic taken. :)

wts the market price for the s602z ?

ops.. one more option.. swivel screen

Since you have senior to quide u. Why not check out what model they are using? Ask them to let you "play" a bit with it. If their model is good enuff for u, get it. The advantages of having same or similar model camera is that they can show you how certian trick is done using their camera. Certain accessaries can be shared too. When they have use those camera, they will know the adv and disadva of that camera. They will gladly point it out to u.

Meanwhile, enjoy the hunt for one. :)

P.s. Beware of people recommending the camera they are using by giving reason such as "It ROCKS!" "Becos I am using it" My camera RULZ!!" and something of that sort. :p

Since they are using SLR, why dun u go that way too? Unless it's DSLR lah.

Try to use same brand as them so that you can "borrow" or buy 2nd hand lens from them or the club. There might be some spare SLR body belonging to the club. Could use those in the meantime.. It's a cool-off period to let u know if photography is really ur cup of tea.
