Still Life photo shoot for my class:

Walking.jpg

I got in trouble! So let me answer the following:

1. in what area is critique to be sought?
First time doing still life in a studio, so pretty much, I need to know what I should be doing.

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
Obviously, a good and humorous shot.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)

It was really hot out. So I decided to take off my pants and change into shorts. I was also in a punky "go eff yourself" kind of mood. Careless, but carefree at the same time, if you know what I mean.

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture.
I actually like the darker aspects of it, the funky shadowing at the top of the jeans and the skinny feeling to the legs. I think the pose of the pants makes it more flirty and fun.

Two comments,

1. Lighting - Try to play around with your lighting set up to eliminate the multiple shadows at the top of the jeans.

2. Exposure - The exposure seems a little underexposed - the details of some parts of the jeans seems to be lost.

watch the lights, some of your shadows are werid and choose a slightly brighter bg for effect
i like the idea of your composition, but how abt folding the jeans slightly at the kness?
dun see what's so humuours abt this?
