I've not yet tested and evaluated it as I've just received it today.

I bought it at B&H USA, price is US$178.95 and shipping and handling charges of US$36.10 to Singapore.

Geotate technology instantly captures and assigns geotags to digital images; then the assigned RAW (unprocessed) location data is processed when the photographer uploads their digital images. We call this approach “Capture and Process” and because we separate the heavy processing from the photographic moment, the technology saves the camera a serious amount of power and the photographer from a serious amount of set-up pain.

I've not yet tested the Jobo PhotoGPS and I can't recommend it.

You can use any handheld GPS to geotag your photos from the Nikon D50 using software.

What are the compatible models for this? Can it be used on say, older Nikon DSLRs without GPS function? Or Fuji S2 Pro.

As long as the DSLR or PNS cameras have a hotshoe, it is good to go.

Retrieving GPS coordinates from Jobo PhotoGPS using the supplied Jobo software.

All GPS coordinates retrieved and location shown.

Match Photos tab with GPS coordinates, Blue arrow icon near photo.

Tag Photos Tab, GPS coordinates written to the EXIF of photos and changes to Green Arrow icon near the photos.

Actually there is one available at solmeta (http://www.solmeta.com/en/). This one sits on hotshoe, connects to a Nikon camera using the 10pin socket, and can directly record the GPS tags in the picture.

I don't suppose we can get this here locally? From your price, it looks like it will be USD220 to get this from US, which convert to SGD, looks like it's 300plus to almost SGD350...

Website does not say what GPS chipset they use, and the locations are only 1000. So, if you take more than 1K photo that day...
