Hi all,

Read a thread here and was reminded bout the strobist 'movement' and was reminded of the delivery by Apollo of their Gel kit sampler which I think is really cool for those doing strobist stuff, esp with their flash guns etc. The apollo folks are really nice and very responsive to your queries. Not sure if many people know bout this but thought I'd share about it anyway.

Link to the gel request is @ http://award.internetapollo.com/HollyBlomquist/GelKitForm.aspx

Sorry if the photo's messy, too tired after work so can manage only this hasty shot :)

Just registered too.

They may be wondering why there's a surge of requests from Singapore :D

Heh, yeah! Thanks for sharing! I've requested one too, any idea how long it takes for them to arrive, if at all?

Wow! thanks for the head's up! :)

From your photo, it seems that the amount of gel given is enough to fit half a dozen 285HVs... is there? I'm not sure... :embrass:

I'm currently using 2x 285HV, planning to add 2 or even more so I can play with multiple lights outdoors.

Oh there's plenty of sample gels. Just one of each though, so if you need more than one of each type, such as more than one CTO or CTB then you're out of luck. best get another swatch or buy a large piece and cut yourself. :)

You could probably get away with using a slightly lighter or darker shade of the next gel though since it comes in so many shades.

Well since so many are interested, here's a few detailed shots.

I really like the swatch where at the back of each card, there is a brief description of the color and usage suggestions. very neat.

I'm planning on buying a few sheets, so its either this brand or Rosco...Just need time to test these out :D

they are actually samples of gels. perhaps, small enough even for 285s.
