G12 overexposed picture with white lines

Recently have some problem with my dad G12. When taking picture, the picture will end up overexposed with white lines across the whole image. But it has no problem when I use it in video mode. It only happen after the image was taken. Any idea is it the CCD sensor problem?

i agree. Your memory card may be corrupt. Using another memory card will confirm this.
