I am going to buy a G11.

i saw a deal going at 700. Warrenty till end of the year.

is it worth the money?

need some advice.

700 seems quite low. 2nd hand set?
I'd be a little bit cautious if I were you.

what should be the concern when i go and view the camera?

You should make sure that the camera looks fine physically, and EVERY single button works as it should.

If you're lucky, the seller is getting rid of it to upgrade, or has given up photography. Then all should be fine.
If you're unlucky, the seller is hiding something. I've seen cameras fail some time after being exposed to that water mist + fan thingy you see quite often in kopitiams or al fresco dining areas.

thought the shops selling outside brand new is in the high $700? e.g. $750~799??

G11 is a good camera. IMO it is a big jump from G10 and the rest of the G series.

If you have an old Canon Camera to trade it, a brand new one is only 714.

I've got mine at that price too. only thing is, you need a Old Canon camera 1st.

best advice - read up all you want, then make the decision yourself.

everyone has different needs and preferences, whether it is worth money or not is your decision, and yours to make. cheers.
