G10 and Canon Speedlite 430EX combination

Hi guys

Need some advice here.

I bought a speedlite 270ex to compliment my g10 recently. But somehow the range of the 270ex is not too powerful.

I am considering switching to a Speedlite 430EX to match my g10.

Anyone has any advice on that? Really need some guidance on that.

how far away is your subject?
If it's really far away, even the 430EX won't be enough.

btw, 430EX on a G10 looks rather strange
