G10 and Canon Speedlite 430EX combination

Hi guys

Need some advice here.

I bought a speedlite 270ex to compliment my g10 recently. But somehow the range of the 270ex is not too powerful.

I am considering switching to a Speedlite 430EX to match my g10.

Anyone has any advice on that? Really need some guidance on that.
