FZ20 hotshoe came LOOSE while shooting

hi guys... i think this problem is unique; can't find others with this problem on the internet - my hotshoe came loose this evening while i was covering an event. It became wobbly... the flash still fired but it rolled to the sides and forwards and backwards... gosh :S im overseas too. has anyone encountered this problem? Can i tighten it myself??

does ur flash 'shake' a little when u attach it to the FZ20?

I don't use external flash. Have not used internal flash either! :bigeyes:

Hi! I'm trying to help with my experience of using camera LC5 and FL28
there are many possiblities and something may be damaged during your last shooting.
Carry out an inspection on the hotshoe connector (camera & flash)
I suspect that flash hotshoe connector (plastic part) already cracked
if no damage, then check on the camera hotshoe connector. Is any of the leaf spring (located at both side) missing?
Then you decide what to do next. send your camera or flash for servicing tomorrow. Request for a loan set from the service centre if it can't be repaired on the spot so that you don't miss your shooting in the evening.
That is all I can help you. I confirm that Panasonic service centre at Panasonic Building - 2 Jalan Kilang Barat (off Jalan Bukit Merah) and their business hours is as follows:
Mon to Fri: 8.45am to 5.00pm
Sat: 8.45am to 2.00 pm

erm, i think he is in Thailand....thailand dun have Bukit Merah one...and its not international warranty right?

well, i did a check... it's not the flash. i used a finger to shake the hotshoe... it's wobbly im not in singapore now too... ugh!!!

sorry! i think i should close this thread. i did a double take... the thread on the flash has gone... i've inserted a spacer and it's fixed the problem haha! my bad!

the hot shoe isnt moving around... i was probably too paranoid just now that i thought it was actually moving! lol!
