Sadly lots of people value their toys/posessions more than the value of relationships. From my general observation, I feel the latter is pretty prevalent here . You name it, whether it's cars, photo gear, hi-fi, clothing, etc., Singaporeans just need to strive to buy the best stuff to fill up their empty lives and bask in the pride of ownership.
