usually no effect on the pic unless its swarmign all over the diameter.

Sure, that will kill the fungi. But the mircowave heat will also dried up the lubricant in the lens. And you may not be able to move your lens.

Hi,
Are you sure you can put the camera lens in the microwave? As far as I've known, I was told by my parents NOT to put any materials made of metal in it.

Tried once and I could hear some zapping sound. Sounds really freaky.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
