usually no effect on the pic unless its swarmign all over the diameter.
but better get the lens cleaned

Sure, that will kill the fungi. But the mircowave heat will also dried up the lubricant in the lens. And you may not be able to move your lens.

Try it, let's us know. :)

the fungi die but still will be there what. still need to clean.

might as well sent to x-ray, gamma ray. no heat somemore.

Hi,
Are you sure you can put the camera lens in the microwave? As far as I've known, I was told by my parents NOT to put any materials made of metal in it.

Tried once and I could hear some zapping sound. Sounds really freaky.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
