Fukushima - are they hiding the truth?

The risk is grossly exaggerated, the catastrophic Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station (NPS) criticality and meltdown accident during the early morning of 26th April 1986 resulting in a containment breech of the RBMK-1000 No. 04 graphite-moderated Boiling Water Reactor (BWR), along with the associated explosions dispersing highly radioactive fallout in an area covering hundreds of thousands of square kilometre and yet consequences of the much feared environmental after effects to this days has been milder than what was initially expected.

In reality, traditional coal-fired power station responsible for generating the majority of the world's electrical energy demand releases much more radioactive waste than other sources of fuel.

All these definitely will have impact on our environment but may not be that significant if it is isolated. If mankind continue to build super mega plants, eventually we will destroy what our forefather has left behind.

Greed and trying to out do others are what we human are good and at the same time bad at.

Actually nuclear reactors are getting smaller and smaller which are now popularly known as Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).

Also Generation IV Fast Breeder Reactor (FBR) / Thermal Breeder Reactor (TBR) engineering design concepts currently in development and ready for deployment into operational service in the next decade or so such as the Advanced Pressurised Heavy-Water Reactor (APHWR), Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor (LFTR) along with types of possibly many others etc. etc. has a negative void coefficient of reactivity through the principle nature of its passive safety design and functions, which means it won't go Big Bada Boom if **** happens like Chernobyl of Fukushima did during a Loss of Coolant (LoC) event involving multiple failure mode of redundant systems.

Yes, they are telling the truth. But not the whole truth. LOL

just bring a detector along if you are traveling in Japan.

if there is radiation, the alarm will go off.

so far Tokyo is still very safe.

If it were so simple ...
It's not just about radiation in total, also the type of radiation and the chemical elements being involved, the duration of exposure ...

So lately our Gahment lifted the ban of Jap imported foods, is it really safe to buy and consume?

Of course it is.
(The labs and research institutes in Science Park need a certain amount of objects to be studied. Too few samples will not make a good study.)

yes, this farmer Naoto Matsumura is very famous in Fukushima, he fled his home during the nuclear accident, but was rejected by his own relatives and friends due to fears of contamination. So he ended up coming back to his own farm and lived to his best. At the same time, the media found him and news of him spread worldwide.

since that day, he and his animals were used as a sample to see how bad the radiation was affecting humans and animals.

So anybody has any good recommendation for lie detector?
So far all i've seen are kiddy spygear stuff. Or some cellphone apps.

End consumers should have more to worry from pesticide laced "fresh" vegetables and antibiotics filled, growth hormones enhanced "juicy / tender" livestocks and poultries.

to be frank, almost every food we ate nowadays is more or less grown in this way, my advice is be happy everyday and think positively, some things in life we cannot prevent.
