Your money was invested in professional photography gear. You painstakingly took time and effort to capture beautiful shots. Where does it go from here?

Uploading and sharing them online does not justify the monetary investment of your equipment nor the time and effort spent attaining those visuals. There is an increasing need to educate the public on what a quality photograph is, and the true value of both the image and the professional photographer who owns it.

Canon PIXMA PRO marks the difference between a professional photographer and a social media ‘photo-taker’. Expanding the colour gamut of your image with improved colour saturation and deeper, darker blacks allows a professional photographer, like yourself, to achieve new levels of colour and skin tone reproduction.

With Canon PIXMA PRO, we can help you on your journey as a professional photographer – to see your images through from pixel to pigment.

Preparation for Print – All about colour in the digital darkroom.

EIZO.jpg

Understanding colour and how to manage it in the digital workflow is critical when it comes to getting your desired output on paper. In this easy-to-understand workshop, Steven will outline basic colour theory and explain the simple steps that will save you countless hours of frustration while removing the uncertainty from your digital editing process.

This presentation will introduce you to hardware calibration graphics monitors and the tools of the modern digital darkroom and will demystify the dark art of colour management. It will be of value to all photographers who expect to see their image files displayed at their full quality, their edits faithfully reproduced and their print output precisely matching the image created on their screen.

Steven is the Graphics Channel manager for EIZO Asia Pacific. He has more than 30 years of commercial experience in photography and colour management. He has been a consultant to the Australian Defence Forces, Australian State Police Forces and a large number of both State and Federal Government Departments.

Previously, Steven spent over a decade with Canon Australia as a dedicated photographic specialist providing high level training in professional capture and print technologies.

A member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, Steven’s talents as a photographer have seen him run a successful freelancing business covering a wide gamut of work from commercial and advertising through to portrait and wedding. His work has been widely published over a large number of media mastheads, as well as book and magazine covers.

Steven’s easy manner and talent for explaining complex technology in simple terms has seen him in constant demand as a photographic tutor and lecturer. He has recently completed a series of sell-out colour management seminars throughout Australia and New Zealand and in 2014 was engaged as the official colour management lecturer at the Singapore International Photography Festival.
