Free Intro to Photoshop Basics

due to the fact that many people have been asking PS questions and also due to the fact that i noticed many people needing help in PS etc, ive decided to share my knowledge/skills/experience in photoshop-ping

im not adobe certified but im a freelance designer.
feel free to attend if u're interested but please do not gruel me about my qualifications. thanks

the first round will be this weekend...

time: 3pm
date: 13 July 2003 (Sunday)
venue: library @ orchard (ngee ann city)

please bring your own laptop if possible
and hopefully you have your own copy of photoshop 6 or 7

things taught in brief:
1) tools
2) layers
3) mask
4) borders
5) text
6) blending tools and feathering
7) image sizing, resolutions, pixels/print size, aspect ratios
8) basic design rules

please note that i will not be teaching in depth.
if you wish for lessons in depth or lessons in any specific area, please note me. thanks.

AND IT'S FREE!!! no hidden cost or any charges....

I just want to pick up some basics, cos right now I'm using PS for resizing and USM only. Thought would be good to learn some other stuffs.

1) laptop is not compulsory. most people going will not be bringing

2) there will be other lessons. trust me. i doubt its a one off thing


actually im wondering if we can go to esplanade library next time. they kinda rent out meeting rooms. its like 6 dollars per hour or something so if we can all split the cost i think it should be quite fun for all. we can have more people and reduce cost ekekek

i'll look into it. but for now... im just gonna try with 6 and see what feedback i get from people regarding the lesson trial and error

PS: I am looking at seeing the options in the future maybe to see if there would be a chance to have say a library meeting room or a Communitiy Center discussion room to conduct these intro classes...... We'll see how things goes....!!!!!

actually joywalker suggested we try out for esplanade this sunday so im going to find out tomorrow but shouldnt be a problem cept we have to share the cost. its quite cheap. max 1 or 2 dollars each.

sulhan, shouldnt be a problem but just need money lor
