Try this link, it might help http://www.fontsnthings.com/tools/conversion.shtml

How unusual is this font? You might be able to track down a PC version of it. Give a sample here and see if anyone has seen it or can identify it and can offer you the link to go buy the font or something.

precisely..there are applications. google only turn up those that one needs to pay. And I've only one Mac font(authentic version) to convert to PC. Not worth to pay for a full program IMO. http://www.fontsnthings.com/tools/conversion.shtml is too primitive...DOS mode..not sure the commands...sigh

Alternatively as I mentioned. Why don't you type out a sentence with that font in Photoshop and save it as a jpg and show it here. 10 to 1 bet...I am sure there is a PC version out there. I have a number of links to websites with free fonts. Me or anyone else who does design should be able to recognise it if it exist.

How would illustrator or indesign help?

the font in question is Zapfino, haven't found free versions for PC out there yet.
