FM and FM2

i have 2 cameras the FM and the FM2. i know the flash sync and shutter speed for FM2 is alot faster thant he FM but other than that, are the metering the same? which is a better camera to keep?

FM- black

FM2- silver

on key point of FM over FM 2 is being able to take Pre Ai lenses

Other than what u have mentioned, FM2 can change focusing screen. Metering is the same. If you have pre AI lenses, keep the FM.

Fm2 is in pristine condition my FM needs some servicing. FM is black and FM2 silver. i quite like Black FM thou both are not really mine but some how they are mine. doesnt make sense right?

i think FM2 is heavier bah

I was a rugged user and my FM gave me less problems than my FM2
I'm not really sure but maybe because the FM2 shutter blades are lighter (it has to be light to operate at higher shutter speed) so the FM is a bit stronger.
And besides the FM2 can fetch a better price, then you can buy good lenses.

For normal usage, both cameras will last for a very long time.
Just make sure you use (exercise) them once in a while.
