Those are leaves btw!
Bouganvillea, right.

OT aside, your subject doesn't seem to be in proper focus, at least on my screen. =D

The purple/magenta/pink thing you see are actually leaves. I think the blackish thing is the actual flower.

In any case, the subject looks very soft to me. Could be camera shake, care to share the settings used? Can't view your settings.

Thanks for correcting me on the flower
I used a tele converter for the shot, that could explain the soft focus

.4sec, f/5.6, iso 80, manual mode, manual focus, tripod, manual white balance

How true.
The subject seems so dull.
A little out of focus as well.
Maybe there was a slight breeze when you took it.
What made you want to shoot it anyway?

it looked like it had a bit more contrast on the camera LCD, the colors looked more vibrant too
iliked the minimalism, the Bokeh & the contrast

I still like this

It may need some fill-flash to bring out the purple, or pink, and life out the subject.
Maybe a different angle as well?
:)

A closer look at the flower.

Anyway, the colors contrast can be enhanced a little for your picture. Also, the bokeh would be better if you selected a more uniform green background instead of the sky and greens you have now? Just a comment.
